Ofer Group's core holding, Ofer Shipping, already adheres to the most stringent national and international standards in pollution reduction. With best practice systems in place, the company is also making use of energy-saving and pollution-reducing technologies.

Similarly, Israel Corporation, chaired by Idan Ofer, has won multiple Beautiful Industry awards for cleanliness and aesthetics from the National Council for a Beautiful Israel. To build on this success, Idan Ofer  has prioritized funds for environmental concerns while all the Group's subsidiary companies have committed to ecological strategies that they presented to the Board.

And the work does not stop there. In early 2008 Ofer Group made a substantial investment in Better Place, the company responsible for building Electric Recharge Grids infrastructure to support the electric vehicle.
